Living A Life Lived
Life is not perfect?
We are inundated with perfect images and videos from perfect people and homes. We all know they aren't perfect, but we try to recreate those images in our lives anyways.
I want to decorate my home for the Holidays and I try to recreate things I see on social media. The truth is, I think they look awesome. So I think to myself>> Self, we should post these awesome things we have done, like everyone else does! Then it begins; agonizing about what my home looks like, is it too messy? So, I move things that show I live in the space out of the photo. I mean heaven forbid my can opener be visible in a picture of my kitchen! I then look at the photos and realize they need a filter. So I edit and I adjust lighting. Ok great they look good, but let me go online to look for photos like mine. I have to make sure I took photos that look as good as everyone else! That's when it hits me!!!
I'm not very good at taking photos, my decorations are not as good as the others and this is silly why am I wasting my time? I could go on and on about the conversations I have with myself! The one thing I always end up with is, I am not good enough to do the things that I do.
So here I am again starting something that I am telling myself I am silly for doing. The only difference this time, I paid $12.00 for this domain. I am going to use it for this year no matter what!!! FYI I am also cheap! I am joking... sort of!
I am a wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend, nurse, sports mom and more. I have no clue what all will end up here on this site or what it will be, but I know it will be whatever I want. I do know there wont be perfect pictures, of perfect things, because life isn't perfect and neither am I.
Is this a website? A blog? I have no clue yet! I do know this, I have always wanted to write and be the person who has a website. Turns out all I needed was to stuff down fear and pay $12.00!
Coach, Coffee and Candles
It's Fall time!
Last year I was given this for Boss Appreciation day!
I absolutely loved that they used a fall theme, it is definitely my favorite time of year!
I have the hardest time coming up with gifts for people. Obviously I can't buy everyone a coach bag! With that said, I love the theme with the bag.
This inspired me to make gifts, this Christmas, with themes in mind. I love the practicality of everything. It was a gift that I would use in my day to day life. Every time, I carry the purse, burn the candle or drank the coffee, it was a sweet daily reminder of the gift they had given me. This year I hope that I can create gifts that make others feel as appreciated as I did when I received this one.
